Change the proformance of the paint to meet your specific needs.

INGREDIENTS PARTS
Stand Oil 1
Damar Varnish 1
Turpentine 5

Damar resin and Stand Oil

Mix all the ingredients in a jar at room temperature and shake until they are completely mixed. The amounts of each ingredient can vary slightly. Only use the recipe as a guideline until you find the right mixture that suits you. Just remember that less varnish makes it oily handling, and less oil or more turpentine may cause the paint film to become brittle.

Use this medium by mixing it directly with the paints on the palette. When glazing, its good to slowly add the paint to the medium. It is much easier to make a glaze darker than it is to make it lighter my adding more glazing medium.

Liquin

Liquin is an alkyd resin that enhances the drying time of oils. Liquin may be thinned with turpentine or used straight from the bottle. Its initial color is not apparent as it is mixed with color. It is ideal for glazing, and its fast drying time allows for many layers to be safely painted in a short amount of time.
